The 2nd Avenue Deli, the the gastronimical Mecca of American Jews, has closed its doors indefinitely.
Being the kind of Jew that never quite gets it right, I missed my chance to sink my teeth into a reuben at 2nd Avenue Deli on last year’s Big Girl trip to NYC. Why?
Because like a dipsh*t, I went on Saturday.
Saw it first on Jewschool.
There are plenty of places to get a good deli sandwich in Manhattan, some of them spitting distance (not that we should be spitting on streets or at people or in general) from my apartment. Please, darling. Look me up and we’ll get those arteries good and clogged, kosher-style.
If I ever shake off these shackles again for a childless trip to the Big Apple, Esther, you’re on!
